Sharing your story can be one of the most powerful steps in the healing process, but it should always happen in a space where you feel safe, supported, and heard. Every survivor’s journey is different, and there is no right or wrong timeline for speaking about your experiences. In a trauma-informed environment, survivors are met with compassion, respect, and without judgment. Whether you choose to share with an advocate, counselor, trusted friend, support group, or simply within a community that understands, your voice matters. You deserve to be believed, supported, and empowered as you heal at your own pace.
There is nothing more powerful than a survivor who chooses to speak. Our voices carry the weight of what we’ve endured and the strength of what we’ve overcome. For so long, we were silenced — by fear, by shame, by systems that failed to listen. But when a survivor speaks, chains break.
Truth rises. Healing begins not only for the one telling the story but for everyone who needs to hear that survival is possible. Using your voice isn’t about reliving the pain; it’s about reclaiming your power. Every word, every story, every truth spoken out loud becomes a light for someone still lost in the dark.
Impact Forward:The Untold Story, with Dr. Chrissie is where real conversations meet real healing. Each episode dives into life after trauma, featuring stories of strength, expert insight, and unfiltered truths about what it means to keep showing up. It’s raw, faith-filled, and fiercely empowering — because survival deserves to be celebrated.

Who would you like to talk to soon? Anyone in a position of reaching victims and survivors! Unless first responders are fully trained in trauma response, they cannot be expected to fully understand how trauma impacts a victim’s behavior, memory, emotions, or ability to communicate. Too often, survivors are judged by reactions that are actually…
What is the legacy you want to leave behind? There’s a question I think about more as I get older, as life gets louder, and as healing becomes less about surviving and more about purpose: When people speak my name years from now, what do I hope they remember? Not the titles. Not the degrees. Not the…
Living in a world where opinions are currency can be exhausting, but I’m done shrinking myself for acceptance. It’s time to reclaim our worth and stop letting strangers dictate our self-worth. You cannot win if your life depends on others’ approval.
