I created this platform to give voice to the stories we’re often told to silence — the ones shaped by trauma, resilience, faith, and the long road to becoming whole again. Here, we talk about real life: the hard days, the messy healing, and the moments of grace that remind us we’re still standing. Through honest conversations, survivor stories, and a little bit of humor and hope, Surviving with Dr. Chrissie is more than a podcast or a blog — it’s a community. Because surviving isn’t the end of the story; it’s where the rebuilding begins.

My Space

There is something about the ocean that calms me. It calms my anxiety, my thoughts, my fears and most of all the negativity that surrounds me on a daily basis. This world is cruel, and it can bring you down in a heartbeat of we let it. How can we live a positive successful life when all we do is see what others have and what they have to say about us?

Do you have something that you would love to start doing but are afraid to only because of what others have to say about it. Their criticism seems to be crippling, and you haven’t even started yet? You are not alone my friend. I am not sure yet what the answer is other than to try to find your space like I have found mine. Just being near the ocean and hearing the waves has allowed me to find my calm space.

This blog for example. I have wanted to do this for a long time but have sat with the fear. It is not for me to try and change others minds or thoughts. It is for me to put mine out there and if they choose to be cynical that is on them not me.
