“It is wise to believe something wonderful

is about to happen”. ~Anonymous

Welcome to Surviving with Dr. Chrissie — a space where truth meets healing and survival turns into purpose. I created this platform to give voice to the stories we’re often told to silence — the ones shaped by trauma, resilience, faith, and the long road to becoming whole again. Here, we talk about real life: the hard days, the messy healing, and the moments of grace that remind us we’re still standing. Through honest conversations, survivor stories, and a little bit of humor and hope, Surviving with Dr. Chrissie is more than a podcast or a blog — it’s a community. Because surviving isn’t the end of the story; it’s where the rebuilding begins.

Defying the Odds with Grace: A Journey of Perseverance

Choose you!

Throughout my life, I’ve faced my share of naysayers—people who doubted my abilities, questioned my ambitions, and believed I wouldn’t succeed. Some doubted me because of my circumstances, others because they couldn’t see the vision I held for myself. But I’ve always believed that the only person who can truly set my limitations is me.

Becoming a mother at 14 and dropping out of school was not the path I had envisioned for myself, and many assumed that my future was already written. I won’t say the journey has been easy. There were times when I second-guessed myself, moments when exhaustion made me wonder if the effort was worth it. But I kept pushing forward, not to prove anyone wrong, but to prove to myself that I could. Every goal I’ve reached, every milestone I’ve crossed, has been a testament to perseverance, faith, and the support of those who believed in me.

I’ve learned that success isn’t about proving others wrong—it’s about proving yourself right. It’s about setting goals that align with your values and staying committed, even when the road is difficult. I never set out to “beat the odds” to make a statement. Instead, I focused on becoming the best version of myself, staying true to my purpose, and helping others along the way.

I share this not as a way to boast, but to inspire anyone who feels like the world is against them. Your dreams are valid. Your goals are achievable. And sometimes, the best response to doubt isn’t loud declarations—it’s quiet, steady progress. Keep moving forward, and let your journey speak for itself.

To those who have supported me, guided me, and lifted me up—I am forever grateful. And to those who may still have doubts? That’s okay. I’ll keep doing what I’ve always done: working hard, staying humble, and letting my actions tell my story.
