“It is wise to believe something wonderful

is about to happen”. ~Anonymous

Welcome to Surviving with Dr. Chrissie — a space where truth meets healing and survival turns into purpose. I created this platform to give voice to the stories we’re often told to silence — the ones shaped by trauma, resilience, faith, and the long road to becoming whole again. Here, we talk about real life: the hard days, the messy healing, and the moments of grace that remind us we’re still standing. Through honest conversations, survivor stories, and a little bit of humor and hope, Surviving with Dr. Chrissie is more than a podcast or a blog — it’s a community. Because surviving isn’t the end of the story; it’s where the rebuilding begins.

What Makes a Person Truly Unique?

Daily writing prompt
Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

We often think of uniqueness as something surface-level—our looks, our talents, or our interests. But true uniqueness runs so much deeper. It’s not just about what we do, but who we are, shaped by our experiences, choices, and the way we see the world.

I believe a person’s uniqueness comes from:

🔹 Their Story – No two people have lived the exact same life. Our past—both the struggles and the triumphs—shapes us in ways that no one else can replicate. The lessons we’ve learned, the battles we’ve fought, and the moments that changed us define who we become.

🔹 Their Perspective – Two people can go through the same situation but see it completely differently. The way we interpret life, love, pain, and joy makes us one of a kind. Our minds, shaped by culture, experiences, and emotions, hold a lens that no one else can look through quite the same way.

🔹 Their Resilience – How we rise after we fall is unique to each of us. Some people find strength in faith, some in their children, and some in sheer determination. The way we push forward, despite the odds, tells a story that belongs only to us.

🔹 Their Heart – Kindness, love, and the way we show up for others is something only we can offer in our own way. The relationships we build, the compassion we give, and the impact we leave on the people around us are signatures of our individuality.

At the end of the day, being unique isn’t about standing out—it’s about embracing the raw, unfiltered version of ourselves. The world doesn’t need another copy; it needs you. 💜
