Domestic Violence Awareness Month is right around the corner 💜
October is a time to raise our voices, stand in solidarity with survivors, and bring awareness to an issue that affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men during their lifetime.
Domestic violence isn’t just physical — it’s emotional, financial, psychological, and spiritual. It leaves lasting scars that ripple through families, communities, and generations.
As advocates, law enforcement, service providers, and community members, we all have a role to play in breaking the cycle.
This month, let’s:
- Educate ourselves and others about the warning signs and dynamics of abuse.
- Support survivors by listening, believing, and connecting them to resources.
- Engage in prevention by teaching healthy relationships and boundaries.
- Advocate for change in policies and systems that often fail survivors.
Survivors are not defined by what they’ve endured. They are resilient, strong, and worthy of safety, healing, and hope. 💜💙
